Caribbean Bajan

Chicken Rita serves fried chicken (sometimes fish) and chips. If you want to eat anything else this, this is not the place for you. This is where Bajans go to eat fried chicken, buy a drink at reasonable price and meet friends.

It is not fast food. Weekends are busy but the time waiting is well spent having a few drinks, talking with old, or meeting, new friends.   Your food will arrive straight from the frying pan.

The chicken is seasoned using a recipe handed down for generations and is made in the kitchen with locally grown herbs.  Local HOT pepper sauce can be added if you wish.

For those with a sweet tooth there is home-made Rum Cake, Rainbow Cake or other homemade delicious items.

Rita Callender started selling fried chicken to make a living. Sadly she passed away in 2011 but worked right up to the end. The business is carried on by her two daughters Girlie Harewood and Carline Callender.   Her Grand Children can be seen helping out and they will carry on when the time is right.
